Mittens Specifications

Finished Measurements: The mittens are sized to fit hands with a circumference of 7 ½ inches (19 cm) and extend to a length of 9 ½ inches (24 cm) for full wrist coverage.

Construction Techniques

All three pieces in the Mill Creek set are worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up, eliminating the need for seaming and creating a polished finished product. This bottom-up, in-the-round construction method is ideal for creating garments with a professional appearance and consistent gauge throughout.

The collection features a slip-stitch mosaic pattern, a stranded colorwork technique that creates visual texture and interest without the complexity of traditional fair isle knitting. The mosaic pattern is presented in chart form, with each row on the chart representing two rounds of knitting. The color key on the right side of the chart indicates which color should be knitted and which stitches should be slipped with yarn held in back, simplifying the colorwork process for knitters of various skill levels.
