Scarrington is a pullover sweater designed by Fiona Ellis for Twist Collective. This garment is a classic crew-neck pullover available in seven sizes, ranging from 32" to 48" bust measurement. The sweater is intended to be worn with 1" of positive ease and offers finished lengths from 24" to 28¼" depending on size, making it suitable for various body types and style preferences.

Construction Method and Techniques

Scarrington is constructed using a bottom-up, worked-flat approach, meaning the sweater pieces are knitted individually from the lower edge upward, then seamed together to create the finished garment. This method allows for precise shaping and easier adjustments during the knitting process.

The sweater features cable patterns as a primary design element. Knitters have the flexibility to work these cable patterns either from written text instructions or from a chart, accommodating different learning preferences and reading styles. Materials: Yarn and Needles

Suggested Yarn: Tahki Yarns Alden, a worsted-weight yarn composed of 50% Merino Wool, 25% Superfine Alpaca, and 25% Acrylic. Each ball contains 250 yards (230 meters) and weighs 1¾ ounces (50 grams). The project requires 5 to 8 balls depending on size, with larger sizes requiring more yardage. The yarn is shown in colorway #09 Clover. This blend provides warmth, softness, and durability suitable for a everyday pullover.
