I could wish it was slightly lighter in weight to match the alpaca, silk, merino wool and combinations of those I use. I usually use four or more yarns in one cowl for variations of color and texture. I love the sheen and rich colors of your merino/tencel yarn.

I wove a large blanket with this yarn around December of 2009. It is not an overly strong yarn as a warp, I had a lot of breakage on the selvages while weaving, but I kind of expected that. At first the finished product was great, lovely drape, sheen, and softness. As the blanket has been used, however, the yarn has pilled like no other. I'm not talking normal pilling for wool either, these babies are giant. There are fuzzies the size of my pinky nail over the entire surface. I would not suggest this yarn for weaving.

Comments about true 2/10 Merino Tencel (Colrain Lace):

This was my first experience knitting tencel so I was very curious about its properties. I was most concerned about no stretch to the yarn and blocking the finished product. Although there was not a lot of "give" to the yarn it worked up nicely and was very forgiving. However, the best surprise awaited me when I wet blocked my wrap. Although it was a little sticky (thinking it's the tencel part) and shed very slightly when smoothed out the finished wrap when dry was beautiful. I will definitely buy this yarn again.

Knit the Percy shawl with the Silver colorway. Gorgeous hand, strong and soft and enjoyable to knit with. Withstood very aggressive blocking and many re-pinnings. The final project is lovely, soft, airy, and very strong. I can definitely see many uses for this very versatile yarn.

I just received my order which I bought 3 cones of this thread. The elderberry has 7 ends showing and I have yet to use it. I have bought this thread before and have used 3 other cones with only the start and end thread. I'm worried there may be more then 7 ends. Not exactly what I expected.

Doubleknit scarves made on my Passap Duomatic 80 are a dream! ....light, soft, warm and yummy! Very "high end." Since I give them as gifts I have no knowledge of wear over time, but I have encountered no issues relating to the yarn while knitting, and that's 80,000-100,000 stitches per scarf!

This yarn is very soft and has a beautiful drape. The only small problem with it is that because it is so silky, you can easily drop a stitch.
