Vickie Howell’s Upward Spiral Beanie is simplicity itself. Crocheted in a tube from the top down, this cute and casual hat uses an easy cinched closure that requires no decreases and features a striking stripe of color and a fun pompom on top! Worked at a large gauge in Valley Superwash Super Bulky, this hat is a quick project that would be great for gifts.

This pattern is available as a PDF download.

VALLEY YARNS 756 Upward Spiral Beanie Pattern

By

from Pdx, OR

Pros

  • Nice Yarn
  • Yarn Better For Throw

Cons

  • Pattern Change Needed
  • Sloppy Fit
  • Wrong Pattern For Yarn

Best Uses

  • Lap Throw Pet Blanket

Comments about VALLEY YARNS 756 Upward Spiral Beanie:

This is the wrong yarn/needle size for this pattern. And, the wrong pattern for this yarn. That hat is falling off the model's head. On the other hand, it might work for someone with very thick, abundant hair.
