I love this yarn and use it to make matching tops and shorts sets. It's colorfast and can be machine washed (in a clothing bag to prevent linting) along with other clothes and machine dried separately from other clothes. I recently ordered the Hawley Sapphire blue to knit another set. The pattern is the Traipsing Tank and Shorts set from Interweave Knits, the Summer 2021 issue
This yarn has some texture and is a little uneven to look at but works up well. I would use it again.

I was hoping this yarn would be just a little softer. I'm using it for a cardigan which will work but I wouldn't want to use it for a pillover.

I'm using it for a simple cardigan that I knitted years ago of a silk nail yarn. I chose the Hawley because it has a similar texture. The Hawley is a bit softer.
I like that it is not wool. It has a nice texture and good colors. I weave scarves. Hawley feels good against the neck.
I wanted a cotton yarn for a sweater. Silk and nylon seems to be a good addition. It's nice.
