Product Details
Light and airy, Valley Yarns Southampton is a plush and super-soft blend of mohair and silk with a fabulous halo! Southampton can be worked at multiple gauges and with one to three strands, for fabrics ranging from lacy and open to more substantial. Even lacy shawls are warm when made in this yarn, which comes in spectacular solid colors that seem to glow. Southampton also works well held with another yarn to add extra softness and luxury to projects from cowls and wraps to cardigans and pullovers!

Gorgeous texture - like mohair but not itchy.
Good price, great product, fast shipping. 😎 Fun to use double or with another yarn.
Bought for a sweater to add a halo effect. The color is great and I love the look it gave my sweater. I'm not the biggest fan of mohair because it felts very easily and I'm an intermediate knitter. So there were lots of spots I had to unravel because of mistakes and it was difficult to undo. But I do like the finished product.
I love this yarn! I make hats & scarves for gifts, to sell, & for charity. I combine it with other yarns for color effect & texture. It's great. The green I just purchased is a beautiful shade.
Just started using but very nice using it with another yarn.
planning to use in a cowl -- it is solft and airy -- will feel great against the neck
I'm making the airplane scarf...again! This yarn is perfect gor it!
BEAUTIFUL
Not the softest mohair I have worked with, but nice yarn nonetheless. Color match was spot on for Cobalt.
I'm making beautiful fuzzy scarves using one strand of sock yarn with one strand of the beautiful mohair Southampton. They are delightfully soft. The mohair/silk is just the same as the more expensive brands.
