It's lofty without being splitty. It knits perfectly to gauge. The colors are true to pictured. I've knit several vests with it, as well as several shawls, and I really enjoy working with it. It fills in the stitches perfectly, and feels like it breathes without being thin yet it's not too dense to lose its drape. It's my go-to DK weight wool.
