Wonderful texture and hand.
Again, I am making ponchos with this yarn - love it very much
I was so disappointed in this yarn. Valley Yarns Northfield and Deerfield are both all time favourites of mine and I expected the same quality from the Superwash Bulky. It split quite a lot during lace knitting. There were lots of fuzzy spots where the individual plays or the entire strand weren't twisted adequately. Then, while any knots are annoying, one ball had two knots only a few rows apart which means someone picked up a scrap and stuck it in the middle. I love Webs but will not be buying this yarn again.
Knits up so, so quickly and isn't as stiff as other bulky yarns. Holds its shape well. Easy to frog as well, which was good because I had to yank out one section three times and the yarn didn't show the usual ravages! Will buy more for sure!
I bought one skein of this yarn to swatch for a wedding blanked I made. It is super soft. That is the best thing about it. It pills A LOT.
Feels great! knits well!
Just finished the pieces of a pullover sweater, using the dark green color. Haven't sewn anything together yet. No knots. Color is really pretty and has a great feel to the hands. No splitting. Plan to make couple hats.
Great products and customer service. But a trip to the store?? The best!
There are between three and five knots in every skein, and since it's superwash I can't spit splice them. Knots often occur just a few yards into a new skein. I know how to make a discreet join but there are simply too many of them to fly under the radar; my sweater looks amateurish and is no longer any fun to work on. It's really a shame, because the yarn is lovely otherwise.
Valley superwash is the most versatile and high quality yarn in the whole store. Not only that, it is incredibly soft and the bulky works up very quickly. I do wish there were more colors.
