Windward Island

Windward Island plays with texture by mixing a smooth cable with eyelets and staggered decreases to create undulating lines. This mix of lace and cables in this hat looks beautiful in a delicate tweed yarn, choose a vibrant color! The hat has the perfect amount of slouch, and the shaping pattern makes a pretty detail at the crown. I found this design addictive enough to have to make two. I used the gorgeous Green Mountain Spinnery, Mewesic. The darker colour hat is in Purple Rain and the lighter colour is in Purple Haze. Alternative yarns are suggested but always check your gauge.
