I bought these bobbins, both the large and the small sizes for my first intarsia project. I was glad I bought both sizes as the small ones are really small and won't do me much good for this particular project but they'll be great for future projects, I believe. I wish they had a middle size as well, something in between the large and the small. I haven't yet gotten to the intarsia part of my project but when I do, I'll be ready. I really love that these bobbins snap together which will prevent them from tangling when I transport my project. They are very simple to use and I think they'll be a great investment.

Comments about true Yarn Bobbins:

These bobbins are exactly as advertised. Sadly I should have ordered the larger size. I'm not returning them though, they will be used in gifts to my knitting friends at the holidays!

They are easy to use when knitting. Wish I'd have had these several years ago when I made some "picture" sweaters for my children.

      Comments about true Yarn Bobbins:

I have only been knitting for about 10 months and, as someone who tends to throw myself headlong into things, I've been resisting the urge to buy every conceivable knitting tool until I'm sure it's something I'll really use. Well, these bobbins have made the list. I found color work rather daunting at first, but having these has made a huge difference because they really DO make it easier! The product itself is awfully simple, but it's remarkably effective. I was a little hesitant at first, thinking that the clamped edges might damage delicate yarns, but I have been thrilled to discover that even eyelash yarns are unaffected when pulled through the soft edges of the bobbin.

      Service and delivery comments:

As always, the customer service was stellar and my product arrived on time and in great condition.

These bobbins are a huge improvement on the old style ones. I knit a sweater for my grandson that had intarsia construction vehicles and used these. Being able to load more yarn on each bobbin. Was a big help.

            Comments about true Yarn Bobbins:

I ordered yarn bobbins from another store only to find out that the yarn slipped too easily from the bobbin and my project became a tangled mess with yarn bobbins all over my project. I couldn't make heads or tails of my project. So, I decided to order the yarn bobbins from WEBS and take another chance. The WEBS yarn bobbins were perfect! They held my yarn so I could keep my project on task w/o having to stop to untangle yarn and bobbins. I love these bobbins and will order them from WEBS all the time.

            Comments about true Yarn Bobbins:

I got these bobbins to use with a stranded knitting project and they're wonderful. They hold the yarn neatly, and when the curved side is snapped down, keep it secure. No more tangles! They hold a fair amount of yarn for their size, so you don't get stuck with lots of joins and ends to weave in, either.

            Comments about true Yarn Bobbins:

These bobbins are great for doing colour work. I am knitting the Kaffe Fassett Madras throw, which I am increasing in size to fit as a double bed spread. It requires 17 different colours with some of the same colours used in a row and up to 12 different colours in any one row. You can get quite a lot of yarn onto these bobbins and they don't unravel like the traditional yarn bobbins. You can also use a marker to write the name of the colour onto the bobbins. They've been terrific for working my spread.
