Rowan patterns cover everything from seasonal magazines to themed pattern books, giving knitters and crocheters a wide range of designs built around Rowan's house style of refined, wearable knitwear. Whether you're searching for a specific Rowan magazine or a pattern book for a particular yarn, there's a format to match how you like to plan projects.
Choosing Between Pattern Books and Magazines
Rowan magazines, like Rowan Magazine 75 or Rowan Magazine 77, feature a full seasonal collection with a mix of garments and accessories, while smaller booklets such as Rowan Edition 5 or Rowan Edition Seven focus on a tighter set of designs, often built around one yarn or theme. If you want projects centered on a single fiber, look for collections like Rowan Cotton Revive Collection or Rowan Kidsilk Haze Reimagined.
Matching Patterns to Yarn
- Many Rowan pattern books are designed specifically for a companion yarn, so check the pattern notes against our Rowan yarn collection before substituting.
- For bundled convenience, Rowan yarn, patterns and kits pair the pattern with the exact yarn and quantity needed.
- Lighter, warm-weather patterns such as Rowan Summerlite Crochet or Rowan Cotton Seasons work well with cotton and cotton-blend yarns.
Knitting vs. Crochet Options
While Rowan is best known for knitting, titles like Rowan Summerlite Crochet show the brand's growing crochet pattern offering, so it's worth browsing both knitting patterns and crochet patterns if you work in either craft.
