Product Details
The BAO BAO hat is a beautiful companion to the BAO BAO shawl.
The hat is worked in rounds from the crown down to the doubled brim and features the beautiful and fun stitch pattern I used for the HEIMATHAFEN
pullover. Using the dip stitch stripe pattern “all over” creates this super cute retro look. The crown of the hat looks exactly like a granny
square and could be a starting point for many “spin-offs”.
The cute and easy dip stitch pattern could be worked with many colors for a playful result (and to help stash busting ;) or with 3 colors (as
shown) for a more sophisticated and sportive look. An optional pompom can be worked last.
Original yarn: Le Woolle NOCCIOLE [197 yds (180m) /50g]; shown in colors BRINA (C1), ZUCCA (C2) and
NOTTE (C3)
1 ball each in C1, C2 and C3 or 76 yds (69 m) in C1, 66 yds (60 m) in C2, 55 yds (50 m) in C3
Gauge: 20 sts x 36 rounds = 4” (10 cm) square in dip stitch stripe pattern after blocking.
