Each ball contains 1.75 oz (50g) of yarn. The recommended gauge is 5.5 stitches per 1 inch when working at a standard tension, with a 4-inch gauge of 22 stitches and 32 rows. Knitters should use US Size 5 needles (3.75mm) to achieve proper gauge and fabric characteristics. The yarn's versatility allows it to be worked on a wide range of needle sizes depending on desired drape and fabric density.

Knitting Techniques and Stitches

The patterns employ fundamental knitting techniques suitable for intermediate knitters. The primary stitch pattern used throughout the collection is Stockinette Stitch (St st), which creates a smooth, classic fabric that allows the luxurious texture of Berroco Folio to shine. Stockinette stitch consists of alternating knit rows on the right side and purl rows on the wrong side, producing the characteristic V-pattern texture.

Pattern shaping incorporates decreasing techniques to create fitted silhouettes and armhole shaping. Decreases are strategically placed on both sides of pieces to achieve gradual tapering.
