I was looking for soft yet cheap yarn for an afghan I was making for my boyfriend. This was cheaper than, let's say, alpaca. The reviews said good things, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

The blanket worked up beautifully. Many people commented on how gorgeous they thought it looked. It felt so nice to work with as well. It wasn't rough on my fingers like some other yarns.

I also wanted something that my boyfriend could throw in the washer, if it ever got dirty. I decided to wash the yarn before crocheting with it, as I had bought red, dark blue, and ivory and was afraid the two darker colors would turn the ivory purple in the wash. The two darker colored yarns didn't bleed that much when washed.

One bad thing about this yarn is that it does twists if you crochet with it. Other than that, this yarn was great.

I bought this to knit a baby blanket for a coworker. I like the chunky weight; it knits up quickly. However, it seems loosely plied; the plies untwist readily. This effect is lessened somewhat by pulling the yarn from the center of the skein, instead of from the outside. But it's splitty and easily snagged. And it will often snag just one ply, so that makes it hard to pull the stitch back into position. I'm disappointed in this yarn and will probably not purchase it again.

I'm knitting this held double into a blanket for my daughter. I've also used it knit single into a blanket for my other daughter. Washes well, very soft. A little snaggy, but not a big deal.

I was looking for a bulky yarn for an afghan. I have adjusted my needle size to accommodate this yarn but it will be a light weight delicate afghan, not a heavy duty one for real cold days.

Bought this in Lovage to knit Yoda Hats for my nieces. The color was perfect and I loved the look and feel of the yarn for the end result. I will agree with other reviewers that the yarn easily unravels/ splits easily. Every now and then I would twist the yarn to tighten it so the strands weren't loose in my work.

Works up quickly, super soft. I used it to try Tunisian crochet for the first time. It made a beautiful defined afghan waffle stitch, very thick and warm. Yarn splits easily while working. It also snags really easily, not recommended for anyone with naughty cats. Washes well.
