I have used this yarn many times to make sweaters for toddlers. It is very soft, and always works up well. I have tried nearly all the speckled colors by now and have never been disappointed. The Belltrix pattern works nicely with this yarn, although I needed to play with gauge and sizing a little. (I just knitted the next size up, using the suggested needle for the yarn. Other Vintage DK yarns work easily for the small amounts of coordinating colors.) it is an easy pattern for a beginner.
