Sorry, I couldn’t help myself on the name choice, but yes, you can make these ears, knit as part of the main hat. I’ve long wanted to make a simple-to-knit hat with ears. It took me years but I am finally happy with the results. So QUICK to knit in a soft, bulky wool. The ears are easy, not fussy, no short rows but still a professional look. One evening session and you are done! Ears can be “pinched” with a single sewing stitch or left flat. Ears can be lengthened as well. All simple to do. Facial features are OPTIONAL.
