Product Description

Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Aran is a fantastic addition to the 220 Superwash line. This Aran weight is thicker than 220 Superwash and 220 Superwash Merino but not quite as thick as 128 Superwash, making it an excellent choice for those in-between projects. Since it's machine-washable and dryable, it's perfect for frequently washed items such as afghans, blankets, sweaters for kids, and mittens!.

I constructed a cable knit sweater for my son with this yarn. I was amazed at how supple the sweater turned out to be. The only thing that I noted that surprised me was the lack of a firm twist in the yarn. Once I got past that (I had to be careful to not split the yarn) I enjoyed the resulting product.

. The yarn that I got is folded different than any yarn skein that I’ve seen before and it is extremely hard to unwind to use.

Beautiful color and easy to knit

The color is a beautiful ruby red. It is easy to knit. I am knitting a poncho that I have knit before for a niece who would like one. The poncho is not yet finished, but the drape looks good.

My favorite lighter weight washable wool. Great consistent texture. Knits up beautifully. Very few, if any joins. Amazing array of vibrant color choices. Almost always available. Webs is helpful over the phone but the site is very easy to navigate. Customer of many years over a few owners. If I can't find it here, I go to Lovecrafts - same company! Sending a photo of my draft dodger. The latest if MANY projects w this yarn.

This yarn feels so plump and squishy. An absolute delight to knit with. The color I purchased was deep and saturated but there was no color in the water when I washed & blocked. I can’t comment on how well the yarn holds up when wearing because I used this for a gift knit and sent the garment off across the country.

This yarn feels incredibly soft and luxurious, and also warm. Great stitch definition; it is a bit splitty; but it’s not a problem if you knit it with care.

I am crocheting a cardigan with this yarn. The stich definition is good, but the yarn splits a bit sometimes. The yarn is making the cardigan a bit heavy, so it will probably be more like a coat.

I loved this yarn. The color was beautiful, easy knitting with it and the fabric swatches were lovely. Unfortunately, I have a difficult time getting gauge with Cascade yarns, which is disappointing as they have beautiful colorways.

I like the feel of the Cascade yarn but the 2nd skein I opened has many loosely twisted areas and knots so that I have had to break the yarn multiple times and must now tie in too many loose ends. My project requires a smooth yarn (it is a Cascade Baby Lapghan pattern), so I'm using the recommended yarn. I feel that the spinning process had some problems and I'm unhappy I ended up with this bad skein. I have 4 more to open.
