Solid colored non-wool sock yarns are hard to find, so I was delighted to discover this one! I've been making some mosaic socks with it, and it's soft and strong, though not as bouncy as some people might like (I like it fine!) I wound up buying a bunch of colors and I'm excited to try them all!
No matter what cast on method I used, the Cascade yarns Cherub separated into strands, making casting on very difficult and knitting the first row a slow pain! I was very disappointed in this yarn and do not recommend it.
My daughter will be using this for her second pair of knitted socks
good quality Arrived as expected
Rich colors, attractive price. Works best with pointed metal needles. I would not recommend this for new knitters as it tends to split & frizz.
This sock yarn (in green) was both easy to work with and smooth as butter over my crochet hooks as I was working my project. I had nearly no snags or kinks within the yarn thread and my stitches were consistent and strong. The socks were for myself and wore well under my military boots. The socks held up and kept my feet cool, even with quite a bit of walking! Most of all, the wool breathed well to allow for sweat absorption. We handwash our pieces, and with just a tad of wool-safe wash and blocking, the socks looked like new after every use. The colorway was also fantastic, neutral and permitted for wearing with US Army uniforms! This sock yarn had a cush and breathability that nylon socks do not. No chafing, bunching, or hot spots here! A+
