The wool has a lovely feel, but does not resemble its picture at all. There was no variegation at all in the two skeins I ordered; whereas this entire line of merinos shows extreme and wonderful color variation. Very disappointing.

The Dream in Color Splendid is a top-down seamless pullover sweater designed to flatter a wide range of body types. This knit garment features striking horizontal stripes created by alternating between eight coordinated colors of Dream in Color Classy yarn. The sweater is worked in one continuous piece from the neckline downward, eliminating the need for seaming and creating a polished, professional finish. Available in six sizes ranging from XS to XXL with finished chest measurements from 30 inches to 50 inches, this pullover accommodates various body shapes and sizing preferences.
Top-Down Construction: The sweater is knit from the neck down, allowing knitters to try on the garment as it progresses and easily adjust length to personal preference. This method begins with a small number of stitches at the neckline and increases gradually to create the body.
Seamless, Worked in the Round: The entire sweater is constructed in the round using circular needles, which means stitches are worked continuously around the circumference without turning the work. This seamless approach eliminates the need for seaming pieces together, resulting in a more comfortable wear and cleaner aesthetic.
Striped Colorwork: The design features a sophisticated stripe pattern that repeats throughout the sweater. Each color stripe is worked for a specific number of rows before transitioning to the next color in the sequence. The pattern uses eight distinct colors from the Dream in Color Classy line: Loose Gems, Belle Epoque, Catching Stars, All American Hen, Strikes Twice, Out Beyond, Regency, and Charcoal Prismatic. The stripe sequence involves working 15 to 18 rows in the first color, followed by 2 rows in the second color, then 2 rows back to the first color, creating a distinctive striped effect that repeats with each subsequent color pair.
The sweater is primarily worked in stockinette stitch, which creates a smooth, flat fabric with a polished appearance ideal for showcasing the color striping. Ribbed sections at the neckline, cuffs, and hem provide elasticity and help the sweater maintain its shape.
Yarn: Dream in Color Classy, composed of 100% superwash merino wool, is the featured yarn for this project. This fiber choice provides softness, breathability, and easy care through machine washing. The yarn is available in 4-ounce skeins with 250 yards per skein. The project requires 1 skein each of 8 different colors, with total yardage ranging from approximately 700 yards for the smallest size (XS) to 1,800 yards for the largest size (XXL).
Needles: The pattern calls for multiple needle sizes to achieve proper gauge and accommodate the different sections of the sweater. A US 5/3.75mm needle in 24-inch circular length is used for ribbed sections. US 7/4.5mm needles are used for the main body and include a 16-inch circular needle for the yoke, a 36-inch circular needle for the body, and double-pointed needles (DPNs) for working the sleeves in the round. The gauge is 18 stitches over 4 inches in stockinette stitch on the size 7 needle.
Additional Notions: The project requires stitch markers to denote pattern sections and the beginning of rounds, stitch holders to temporarily secure stitches, and a tapestry needle for weaving in yarn ends.

Using it right now for a cowl pattern called SIMPLY SIMON. Normally I'd use MALABRIGO RIOS but that wasn't available in a color I was seeing in my imagination. So I got DREAM IN COLOR (Cabaret) instead. It's still on the needles, but the colors are coming together beautifully. I'm sensitive to how a yarn feels on my hands as I knit, and this yarn has a perfect feel. I can say I love this yarn.
