Product Details

Through a new and unique cotton-spinning process, a yarn from recycled and recyclable fibers is made. This new type of yarn has the same, if not better, characteristics than yarns made from original fibers, particulary in regards to strength, elongation, abrasion, pilling, and color fastness. The use of recycled fibres reduces the need for new fibers which, in the case of synthetic and cellulosic fiber production, can be costly in water and energy, and therefore the environmental impact can be high. The new patented process of yarn spinning saves energy and greatly reduces dye pollution.

I have a wool sensitivity, so I am always looking for good non-wool options. This is great. It has a subtle tweed and nice colors. It's easy to work with.

I have a wool sensitivity, so am always looking for good non-wool yarns. This is great. It's easy to work with and knits up well. The tweed is subtle; it's close to a solid color. And I love that it's recycled fiber. My only issues are that it is not exactly soft to the touch (true of many cotton yarns), and I wish there were more color options.

I'm not crazy about this yarn - it has a tendency to split. While my baby sweater has come out pretty nicely, it wasn't the most fun yarn to work with.
