Firstly, the colour I chose is nothing like the swatch online but it is still beautiful (red light district is a true plum, not red).
Secondly, it took me hours to untangle the hank so I could roll into a ball.
Lastly, I expected this yarn to be fragile but it is much worse than expected.
I was so looking forward to using this yarn but I am very disappointed.

Comments about true Silk Cashmere:

I was knitting a sweater to fill an order and I was not content with the way the colors were presenting. I'm an expert and what I had looked very amateurish. Certainly lyrics not good enough to charge someone for it. The yarn is lovely, just not sweater yarn

    Comments about true Silk Cashmere:

Yarn is lovely to use but the worst skein I have ever encountered to make min to a ball. Terribly twisted. Taking longer to untwist than to knit it. Will never order again!

      Comments about true Silk Cashmere:

I was hesitant to buy this yarn after reading the other reviews. I found this yarn to be delightful to knit with, easy to wind (although it does wind a little tight), did not snag and was an altogether wonderful purchase for a client's shawl. I almost didn't sell it to her!!

      So Beautful!

      By

      from Rochester

      Comments about true Silk Cashmere:

They sent me this on accident, but is so nice, I am tempted to keep it!

The color "Dinosaur Dawn" is a very pretty, soft pink - it calls to mind the "Ashes of Rose" dress from Thornbirds.

The yarn is so soft and light, it feels like a cloud made of baby cheeks.

The more I write, the more I convince myself to simply keep it.

        Comments about true Silk Cashmere:

This is a lovely product but be prepared for broken threads thoughout the skien when unwinding. I had 4 ends hanging when I started the process and more appeared in 2 out of 4 skeins. It needs a gentle hand as it breaks easily and it tangled with snags in the skien.

This is a wonderfully soft silky yarn. I've made three scarves with it. It would make a lovely shawl too - probably using two skeins.

            Comments about true Silk Cashmere:

Although this is a knitting yarn I actually used it for rigid heddle weaving. I was surprised to find that this yarn was incredibly fragile despite the fact that it consists mostly of silk. I've worked with cashmere and cashmere blends in the past, and I have to admit that I found this one a little harder to work with; whilst the end product is quite beautiful (particularly the colour!), I felt as though it didn't have the lustre or strength that I would expect from a yarn with so much silk. I would still recommend this yarn to a knitter friend, but I would prepare them for breakages.

            Service and delivery comments:

Delivery times were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it arrived at my doorstep here in Australia. I will definitely be buying from Webs in the future.
