Comments about Yarn > Knitting Yarn KPPPM:

I have gone crazy ever since I discovered Koigu. The yarn is like collecting jewelry, different color ways, some bright, some subtitle, some warm, others hot or cool. When they are mixed together, a wonderful surprise happens, and a glorious fabric comes alive. I am transfixed. I almost don't want to knit with the yarn because it diminishes my collection, some of which may be colors I may not be able to find again. I bought some of the Koigu magazines and the patterns are exceptional. Timeless shapes with gorgeous colors throughout. Since I don't follow directions, I can see the many pleasurable hours of creation adding my own touches to the wonderful patterns. This yarn is art!

Comments about Yarn > Knitting Yarn KPPPM:

The colorways are amazing, vibrant, rich. I crocheted a skinny scarf and am constantly asked where I bought it! I thought the yarn was very easy to work with, stitched up evenly, and is wearing very well (no snags or pills yet).

Comments about Yarn > Knitting Yarn KPPPM:

My one and only experience with KPPPM was to make my granddaughter a scarf for Christmas 2013. I used P320, and the colors were beautiful. The yarn is very soft and felt wonderful in my hands. Only problem: the pattern was lace, so I blocked it and it grew about 12 inches. I just read in Yarn Harlot's blog that this growth is usually due to the knitter's not blocking a swatch. I thought gauge wasn't important when knitting a scarf, but maybe it is. Maybe the scarf should have been done with different size needles. SO, if you make something with this yarn, do a swatch and block it to check the size. My granddaughter still loves her scarf; she likes it long.

I used the leftover yarn for a Moebius Necklace for myself, and I love wearing it.

I didn't notice any bleeding of color when I soaked the scarf.

I enjoyed working with this yarn and would buy it again.

Comments about Yarn > Knitting Yarn KPPPM:

I knit at least two dozen pairs of socks with Koigu, but I can't resist the colors! (They are rich and variable, with a very short color change every few inches, sometimes every inch, and sometimes wonderful speckles.)

It's a wonderfully soft merino, which is even softer after washing. The recommendation is hand wash, but I use cold wash and rinse and the "delicate" cycle in a front loader, hang to dry.

I'm a slow and inefficient knitter to my knitting was not keeping up with my purchases. Then I thought of weaving. I put on a trial warp and made a shawl. Koigu almost never has knots—in 200-300 skeins I might have found three ply knots—and it's strong for its weight. I was careful, but while other knitting yarns have been problematic, I have never had a Koigu warp thread break.

The weaving comes off the loom a little stiff, then I wash it, hang it on a wooden rack to dry, and the next morning, it's heavenly!

I like that this is a woman-owned company, too. Accept no substitutes—and there are many trying to copy Koigu's unique and rich colors.

Koigu used to be very hard to find, but I am so glad to find WEBS carrying it! I will buy lots more as soon as I make a tiny dent in my stash!
