The body is initiated by casting on stitches with a circular needle and joining to work in the round, which allows for seamless construction of the main torso. The raglan shaping is achieved through strategic decreases worked at regular intervals, creating the characteristic diagonal lines that extend from the underarm to the neckline. The sleeves are worked separately using double-pointed needles before being incorporated into the raglan decreases during the yoke shaping.

The hood is picked up from the finished neckline and worked downward, beginning 7 stitches before the center front.
