Note: Malabrigo has a misprint on the labels for this yarn in the care instruction. Dos Tierras is HANDWASH ONLY, do not machine wash

Malabrigo Dos Tierras is a luxurious blend of Merino wool and baby alpaca. This spectacular hand-dyed DK weight yarn has great stitch definition and wonderful drape when knit up.

Hand-dyed yarns have subtle variations in colors that are natural and may vary from skein to skein. There may be differences between pictures shown and the yarn you receive. To ensure the best results for your project:

  • Buy enough yarn for your entire project at one time.
  • When using hand-dyed yarn in your project work two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect.

If you have any questions or concerns about hand-dyed yarn, please contact Customer Service.

Malabrigo Dos Tierras is produced in dye lots of 5. Any order for more than 5 skeins will be of mixed dye lots. Some colors do not contain any dye lots.

I love the colors, and the softness of the material is beauty to work with us

This was gorgeous in the color work yoke sweater I made.

I have used this yarn for many projects including sweaters, hats, cowls, and a shawl. It does not pill like 100% merino , yet it is still soft next to skin and has a nice drape from the alpaca. The colors are lovely and it is a pleasure to knit with it.

I purchased 8 skeins and had to find another 2 from another site. It worked up beautifully into a long, sleeveless duster.

Wonderful, wonderful yarn for a quickie (well, as quick as my old hands knit!) cowl for fighting the cold Vermont winters in style!

Beautiful yarn and one hank made a lovely adult size beanie (size six needles 1x1 rib 112 sts)

Bought this as a gift for a friend. One of her favorite yarns…

I bought this yarn for my Capstone sweater. I wanted something ""fluid"" that would drape easily and at the same time work up in neat stitches. It's a joy to work with and the resulting fabric is gorgeous!

I am a knitter and live this yarn. Easy to knit and wonderful to wear! I have ordered this yarn twice and it is fabulous.

Wonderful on the needles and beautiful stitch definition
