The complexity of color and the softness of Malabrigo Mechita is simply stunning. Mechita is the fingering weight version of Malabrigo's bulky Mecha. It's a single-ply, 100% superwash merino wool yarn that's hand-dyed in colors you really won't believe until you see them for yourself. This machine washable yarn would make extraordinary garments and accessories.
Malabrigo Mechita is produced in dye lots of 5. Any order for more than 5 skeins will be of mixed dye lots. Some colors do not have any dye lots.
Hand-dyed yarns have subtle variations in colors that are natural and may vary from skein to skein. There may be differences between pictures shown and the yarn you receive. To ensure the best results for your project:- Buy enough yarn for your entire project at one time.
- When using hand-dyed yarn in your project work two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect.

I absolutely love this yarn. I love the colors and the way it feels. It is merino wool so it is very soft. I’ve done several projects with it and they have all turned out beautifully.

Soft! No breaks. Lovely dye coloring. I bought four hanks to knit a shawl. They were easy to unravel and roll into a ball.

Joined a KAL and needed three colors of Mechita. The yarn is wonderful and easy to knit with. The only problem I encountered was one of the hanks was so tangled I could not use my cake winder. The other two wound perfectly. I have knit with Malabrigo for years and have loved every yarn I have purchased.

This yarn is so beautiful. The color choices are exquisite. The fibers are amazing and the results are such that it is like knitting with butter!! The yarn slips through your fingers effortlessly creating a beautiful pattern!! I have worked with this yarn many times and enjoy each experience!!
