Malabrigo Mora is 100% pure Mulberry silk, the ultimate in luxury! This 4-ply fingering weight yarn is as strong as it is soft. The pure silk takes dye with an unparalleled richness, for colors that will blow your socks off! This yarn is great for shawls, scarves, fine garments, and little luxuries.

Malabrigo Mora is produced in dye lots of 5. Any order for more than 5 skeins will be of mixed dye lots. Some colors do not have any dye lots.

Hand-dyed yarns have subtle variations in colors that are natural and may vary from skein to skein.  There may be differences between pictures shown and the yarn you receive. To ensure the best results for your project:

  • Buy enough yarn for your entire project at one time.
  • When using hand-dyed yarn in your project work two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect.
If you have any concerns about your hand-dyed yarn, please contact Customer Service for assistance in returning or exchanging your yarn.

Comments about MALABRIGO Mora:

Made a scarf with several different colors using the linen stitch. Nice smooth touch and drape. Cool to the touch. The different shades from the skein blends well.

Probably not

Comments about MALABRIGO Mora:

I love the color and weight of this yarn. I used this yarn both in the warp and weft of weaving a shawl, it was a nightmare on the loom as a warp yarn because it kept fraying and breaking. I thank God that I only used it sparingly as an accent in the warp. As the weft yarn it wove beautifully and provided the perfect drape and sheen to the shawl! So lesson learned "do not use under tension "

Comments about MALABRIGO Mora:

This is the first time I have tried Mora, but if it has half the quality of all of the other Malabrigo yarns, it will be wonderful.

      Comments about MALABRIGO Mora:

This has a beautiful sheen and feel; however, it very easily splits. It is 2-ply and when it is worked, it appears as double yarn on the needle. You have to very carefully be sure you knit through both of the plies.

      Comments about MALABRIGO Mora:

I used this to knit up a lace scarf for my mother for Mother's Day. The yarn is extremely soft and pretty easy to knit with. It does split easily (I don't even have to accidentally poke my needles with it for it to split) but it's totally worth dealing with. I'm seriously in love with this yarn and have already ordered more. For my mom's scarf I used their Zarzamora colorway which is super pretty. I just got the Indiecata and I can't wait to use it. It so far has also held up the blocking I did very well. I soaked it in some cool water with a tiny bit of Eucalan and stretched it pretty far to open up the lace. The blocking has held beautifully.
