Fino is my favorite yarn for shawls and items Planned for next to skin. This yarn is pure luxury. Easy to knit with with lovely hand and drapes beautifully. Love it. Pricey but hey, you get what you pay for.

Manos del Uruguay Fino is a soft, shiny single-ply fingering weight yarn in exquisite hand-dyed colors. The luxurious blend of Merino and silk gives Fino a soft hand and gorgeous drape.
Fino is hand-dyed in large kettles to create a marbleized, subtly striated effect that forms a rich palette of glorious colors. No two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dye lots. Colors may vary greatly.
Hand-dyed yarns have subtle variations in colors that are natural and may vary from skein to skein. There may be differences between pictures shown and the yarn you receive. To ensure the best results for your project:
- Buy enough yarn for your entire project at one time.
- When using hand-dyed yarn in your project work two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect.

Manos del Uruguay Fino is my go to yarn for knitting the Williamsburg Cowl by Knitty McPurly. The fabric it creates is super dreamy, and the generous 490 yards is the perfect amount of yarn. I’m currently working with the Silhouette colorway, and it’s a lovely mix of light grey and slate blue that will go with quite a bit in my wardrobe.

Mania sel Uruguay Fino is my go to yarn to knit up the Williamsburg Cowl by Knitty McPurly. It is the perfect amount of yardage and creates a soft cowl with wonderful stitch definition even though it’s a single ply yarn. The color ways are rich and have such a depth to them, and the yarn is a joy to knit with!

I returned the yarn because the colors were quite subdued. I don't believe that the image posted online was misleading, really, but it is so very difficult to give an overall impression with a close up image.
