Product Description
Cardigan with lace-stitch border, horizontal yokes in front and back, a decorative edging along hemline and cuffs and optional pocket(s). Knit to hip-length as shown, or tunic length.
New Old Town is worked in one piece from the top down beginning with a provisional cast on and proceeding in a modular fashion. Sleeves are worked flat and seamed, but could be easily modified to work in the round. Edging on sleeves and hem is a continuation of the border and is worked similarly to attached I-cord. Pocket(s) worked separately and sewn in place. Wear the sweater open or add loop closures to fasten.
Sizing: Recommended ease: -2" to +2". Can be Shown in size 36 with 0 ease on dress form, 2" ease on model.
Yarn: Sunday Knits 5 ply (light worsted weight yarn - 137 yds / 125 m per 50g skein) in Eden (merino), Nirvana (merino cashmere), Angelic (merino angora) or Brigadoon (merino tweed). Shown in Eden bronze.
Gauge: 19 sts and 26 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch using larger needles.
