Noro Cabled Wrap

Project Overview

The Noro Cabled Wrap is a knitted shawl and wrap design featured in the Mini Knits 2 collection by Noro. This project, designed by Jenny Watson, offers knitters a sophisticated accessory that combines classic cable techniques with the distinctive aesthetic of Noro yarns.

What Is Being Made

This pattern creates a wearable wrap garment suitable for layering and styling. As part of the Mini Knits 2 collection, the Cabled Wrap is designed as a smaller-scale knitting project, making it an accessible option for knitters seeking to complete a finished accessory in a reasonable timeframe.

Knitting Techniques

The Cabled Wrap features cable knitting as its primary design element. Cable techniques involve crossing groups of stitches over one another to create raised, twisted patterns that add visual interest and texture to the finished piece. This traditional knitting method requires careful stitch manipulation and attention to pattern repeats.

Stitches and Stitch Work

The pattern utilizes cable stitches as the foundation of its construction. Knitters will work with standard knitting stitches combined with cable crossings to achieve the wrap's textured appearance. The specific stitch counts and pattern repeats are detailed within the downloadable PDF pattern.

Materials and Supplies

This project is designed to be worked with Noro brand yarn, which is known for its distinctive multi-colored variegated colorways and quality construction. Knitters will require appropriate knitting needles sized according to the pattern's gauge specifications. Exact yardage requirements, needle sizes, and yarn weight recommendations are provided within the pattern documentation.

Pattern Details

Measurements and gauge information are included as guidelines within the pattern. Knitters should verify gauge before beginning to ensure proper finished dimensions. This downloadable PDF pattern is intended for personal use only and includes all necessary instructions for completing the Cabled Wrap project.
