My online order was very easy to select and complete. I was pleased with the selection and number of skeins available. Choice is everything! I would like to see knitted swatches of each color way as just looking at the end or side of skein does not give best representation of how the colours blend into stripes. I have worked with Noro yarns for years and so have gotten into the habit of winding each skein to manage abrupt color changes due to knotted ends. As I wind I feel for knots and will cut the strand, remove the knit and start a new cake. This gives me better control of color transitions in my garment. I knit jackets and large sweaters so overall look of the garment is what makes them wearable art.

I used this yarn for a crochet project which I knew would not be worn next to the skin, as it's not very soft. The most annoying thing to me is that it contains all kinds of little bits and pieces of loose fibers and threads. I was constantly having to stop and pull them out with tweezers, which really slowed down my crocheting and probably doubled the length of time it took me to crochet the vest. It is also very uneven in thickness - going from a thin, fingering weight yarn to a worsted or bulky weight yarn in places. The colors are the primary selling point of all the Noro yarns, because otherwise I don't think anyone would buy them for their quality control or wearability.

          Comments about Silk Garden Lite:

I mainly like hats and the variety they afford me, which helps me to learn different techniques. Noro, obviously, has great color display which works even for simple patterns but creates some interesting effects for more complex patterns. This particular yarn - Lite - is fun to use with angoras and mohairs to produce a colorful halo effect. I don't use yarns I don't like, so I think it's great all around.

I made the beret in winter 2015 Noro magazine. The colors were spectacular, the yarn was very soft after blocking. It was a joy to work up,and the project went very fast.
