Plymouth Yarn Encore Chunky

Purchased this yarn to knit a throw as a wedding gift. I was looking for something that held it's stitch definition but wasn't too stiff AND would be easy to care for later. This has fit the bill perfectly. Using a four row pattern with garter borders and it's taking on a nice modern feel without feeling too heavy or bulky. I've used Plymouth Encore in worsted weight and it's always performed well - the chunky version seems to be just as successful.

Wonderful for baby sweaters. Machine washable and dryable.

This yarn is itchy and stiff. I used what the pattern recommended, and I'll never do that again. Bought two skeins, knitted it up, threw into the trash.

I've used Plymouth Yarns more than any other yarn, except for sock yarn, because it's easy to work with. It also can be put in the washer and dryer with no problems. Also, there are so many colors from which to choose.

Plymouth Encore Chunky is the only yarn that works well for making a Peruvian hat. It works us nicely and is soft on your hands while knitting. It used to ship right from MA -- now it ships from Missouri which takes longer.
