I'm knitting my son a school jumper with this yarn. It's absolutely fine for this purpose; although I had envisaged something more 'wooly'. But this is superwash, and I suspect that might be the compromise one has to make with such yarns. Anyway, it knits quickly and fairly easily. Minor issues I have with it (and this might be due to my relative inexperience as a knitter) is that it splits fairly easily if I'm not paying attention to my knitting. The other thing is that it's incredibly dull to knit (I prefer more interesting yarns and colours; this is navy blue, pretty boring). Overall though it's pretty much spot on for a school jumper. It's yet to undergo a wear/wash test, so we'll see.

I have made sweaters with this same yarn (earlier orders). It's perfect: pleasant to handle, soft, no pilling so far.

My granddaughter wanted a sweater that was "very soft and not scratchy" so I am making her one with this beautiful yarn. I know she will be as pleased as I am. Being washable makes it perfect. Good price, too.

Comments about 14.99 Select Worsted Merino Superwash:

This is the first really quality yarn I've ever bought. I always used cheap yarn and had no idea that there was this big of a difference. I've gone through 2 skeins and haven't run into any knots, thinning or splitting. The pattern I'm using has cabling and the yarn seems to showcase it. I love this yarn. Worth every penny!

I have used this to knit cabled sweaters and ribbed neckwarmers. It has great stitch definition. I has such a nice hand, it is joyous to work with.

Comments about 14.99 Select Worsted Merino Superwash:

I have used this specific yarn in the past year for two projects - a linen scarf and a mermaid blanket. While these projects were very different they were both made more enjoyable because of the select merino. The yarn has a wonderful texture and weight. The next project I plan to knit with this yarn is a blanket in garter stitch. I know the star of the show will be the yarn in this simple pattern. I can't wait to see the finished product. I recommend this for projects that need stitch definition - it is marvelous.
