Rowan
Bard Cowl from New Nordic Unisex Collection is a lovely Fair Isle accessory
that is a perfect beginner’s project for new colorwork knitters. This cowl uses
two contrasting colors of Felted Tweed, and it’s the ideal marriage of Nordic
pattern and classic design with a winding, interlinking chain. Rowan Felted
Tweed is also an excellent choice for any pattern calling for a DK weight - from
fair isle to cables, and you will be pleased with the results. The colorwork
pattern is in chart form only.

Yarn Requirements: Rowan Felted Tweed (50% Merino Wool/ 25% Alpaca/ 25% Rayon; 50g/190yds)

Color B – 1 ball shown in 197 Alabaster
Needles:
US 3 (3.25mm) 32” or shorter circular
US 6 (4.00mm) 32” or shorter circular
Gauge: 24 sts and 28 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch on US 6 (4.00mm)
