Shaken or Stirred

I wanted an easy cardigan with a classic look. The details on Shaken or Stirred are simple and delicate and the cardigan has a lovely feminine feel. The colourwork is very simple, but enough to be distinct, and the narrow shawl collar is kinda fun - it's worked in garter rib, with a distinct garter stitch border that shows off the contrast between the 2 textures when folded back. This is a sweater that will easily take you from summer into fall, and go with shorts and jeans. My other goal was to make a cardigan that could REALLY be modified. It’s knitted from the top down with contiguous shaping at the shoulders, so length or width throughout the sweater can be easily adjusted as you go. Depending on what you have for accent colors, you can knit the colourwork as written or add your own designs and you can play with the motif, the stripes or the placement of the panel as your tastes or stash dictate. Shown in Plucky Knitter, Primo Sport. The 3 contrast colours use just 50 yards each.
