Soft and easy to work with
I love this yarn. It's so soft and easy to work with. I'm using it for mosaic crochet. It transitions very well. You have to be careful not to split it. Other than that, I love it.

Stylecraft Special DK is a 100% acrylic DK yarn built for big projects. Each ball is a full 100 g and holds 323 yds (295 m) — roughly double a standard 50 g ball, so a large piece takes fewer balls and means fewer ends to join and weave in. It knits to 22 stitches and 30 rows over 4" on US 6 (4 mm) needles; recommended crochet hook F (4 mm).
The appeal is the palette. Special DK comes in one of the widest solid shade ranges of any DK yarn, from soft neutrals and heritage tones to saturated brights, and the colors are designed to sit together — the reason it is the default yarn for crochet-alongs, granny-square throws and striped blankets where twenty shades have to agree with each other. It works just as well for children’s clothes, amigurumi and homeware.
Easy care: machine wash on a 40°C delicate cycle, tumble dry on low, cool iron if needed. That, plus the price per yard, is why it ends up in baby blankets, kids’ sweaters and anything that gets washed every week.
