Comments about TOIKA 40" Stainless Reeds:

These Reeds are really well made and look like they will stand the test of time. However, they are longer than other brands by over 1/2 inch. If your beater has closed sides, call for actual measurements before assuming they will fit. I will need to return mine.

Comments about TOIKA 40" Stainless Reeds:

Even after 20+ years of weaving, I still find a need for a new reed occasionally. Because I live in an area of high humidity -- and let's face it, it's just better in general -- I buy stainless steel, although I had not purchased a Toika before.
This is a very nice reed. Gleaming steel, well-polished with no rough spots anywhere. I purchased a 15-dent, and the teeth are smooth and completely straight, without being clunky or too heavy to allow easy sleying.
There isn't a lot to say about a reed -- it's a tool with a limited function that should last a long time. But I have to say that this is the most striking one I've ever acquired.
