What is Being Made

Construction Method and Techniques

The Safdie pullover employs a bottom-up construction approach combined with both flat and in-the-round knitting techniques. The sweater begins with a distinctive split hem feature, where ribbing is worked back and forth in rows using two separate pieces. Once the ribbing is complete, the two pieces are joined together and worked in the round to the underarms, creating a seamless body section. After the body reaches the underarm, the front and back are worked separately in flat rows.
