First time user but now a devotee. Color "Sunset" was just drop-dead gorgeous and perfect for my friend who will be getting my finished project as a Christmas gift. This yarn is as top quality as one can get or use. I've paid lots more for lesser quality yarn. I'll stick with Charlemont for future fingering weight projects.

Love the softness and drape of this yarn. Colours were true. It was a pleasure to knit. I used it to make a lightweight cardigan. Blocked nicely. Sadly, it started pilling right away. A bit disappointed.

Suggest should knit at a much tighter gauge to reduce pilling, but perhaps won't drape as nice?

Love this yarn, so soft and has a nice shine. The thistle was more lavender than I expected but all of the other colors I had gotten are gorgeous and true to the pictures. Will still use it for a different project than the original

This yarn is very soft to the touch, but strong. It's smooth and evenly plied, and I have found no knots in 4 skeins. I'm making a fair isle cowl, and am pleased with how it looks. My only concern is that it seems to fuzz a little, and I am not sure how well it will wear. Hoping for little or no pilling.

Loved working with Valley Yarns "Charlemont". Using Barbara Elkins #76 Easy Scarf pattern, I
substituted Charlemont instead of Leyden and had wonderful results. The finished scarf has gorgeous
sheen, and is wonderfully soft. I have used 6 different colors offered and each has produced exquisite
            results.
