Valley Yarns Northfield is a glorious blend of Merino, baby alpaca, and silk. This DK weight is perfect for warm, cozy garments and accessories that you want to be next-to-the-skin soft. Northfield has a slight sheen from the silk, adding a touch of sophistication to this delightful yarn.

Excellent quality of yarn.
Excellent quality yarn
Quick shipping. Love knitting with this yarn! It’s very soft and spongy!
Great yarn. Very soft and nice for the sweating making.
Very nice yarn. Soft and good stitch definition.
I got this to knit a therapy chicken for a friend. I did not expect such quality for the price. Easy to work with and soft to touch. The recipient wanted a black background with white motif. A cable cast on was suggested but it was just too tight and hard to see (I’m 81 and haven’t had my cataracts removed yet). After two tries I switched to a basic cast on and had no problems after that.
This is my third purchase from WEBs and they have all been great. This was my first purchase of Valley Yarns. I bought the Merino, Silk and Baby Alpaca blend. It is knitting up beautifully! No splitting. Very soft drape. My project is a woman’s sweater in black. I would highly recommend this yarn.
Northfield Yarn is very soft and easy both to knit and to wear. tThe stitch definition is beautiful, and cables and pattern stitches really stand out. I've knitted two sweaters with this yarn and am very happy that I chose it for both projects.
A good quality yarn that is terrific for color work. I like the bit of silk in the yarn that gives it luster. I use it on winter hats and sweaters and have for years. It is consistent and colors are pretty close between batches. Its a good value that I keep coming back to purchase.
