The Winthrop Street Sweater is a chic, chunky garter stitch pullover with dropped shoulders, exposed seams, and a curved hem. Worked at an airy relaxed gauge with three strands of fingering weight linen yarn, the sweater is ideal for three season wear. Winthrop Street is worked with 3 strands of Shibui Knits Reed held as one. Note: Be mindful of the nature of garter stitch. It tends to stretch vertically with wear. Be sure to allow for this in determining your personal sleeve length. If you decide to knit your sleeve to a different length than that specified in the pattern instructions, the number of stitches picked up for the sleeve seam should be modified accordingly.
