I am working on a Berroco Thimbleberry blanket pattern, and the yarn recommended in the pattern is no longer available. This yarn seemed like a good substitution. It’s knitting up wonderfully on size 13 needles, and I look forward to finishing this project. I consider Berroco one of my go-to brands when it comes to all things knitting and crochet.
Easy to knit with, very sturdy (as in doesn't break if over stretched), not scratchy (important for the mittens and headbands I'm using it for), washes well ... and fairly priced.
I just knitted four sweaters with this yarn and just love it. It gives beautiful definition to cable sweaters and is very soft and warm.
Lovely to knit, shows pattern well and is the perfect weight for a quick knit.
I've knit a baby sacque with this yarn. Now that baby has outgrown it, I am changing it into a stocking. It is really soft and nice yarn.
I like the weight and the color. The only thing keeping this from a 5-star rating is that the yarn tends to split, so you have to really pay attention as you knit.
Just love this yarn and have knitting several items with it from hats to sweaters. It is soft and very warm!
Colour not what I expected more burgundy than red but was very pretty and workable yarn.
