I already had skeins to knit patches to add to squares knitted by kids and grands learning to knit. I made a patchwork baby blanket that needed a 6th color to do edging. I'm still working around the edges of the resulting quilt. It's wonderful, not complete, not even halfway around picking up stitches.
I'm using it to make stuffed toys for my grandchildren. It's sturdy and cleans up well. They've held up great!

I was very pleased with the cascade 220 super wash yarns. The colors were beautiful and the feel was super soft. Even within my knitting group, the yarn was admired and I know I’ll be using it again in the future. My project was a hat which recommended the cascade 220. Knit an Heirloom afghan for my granddaughter…Cascade 220 Superwash Aran in Deep Sea and Cascade 230 Superwash Merino Teal. Nice stitch definition. Very happy with my afghan.
I would not purchase superwash again, going back to the traditional wool. I really don't like how it washes, it's almost identical to acrylic. This is just a personal preference, I gave it 4 stars because the yarn itself is beautiful. Also shipping/delivery used to be within a week, now it's more like 2 weeks.
Cascade makes excellent general purpose yarns. I'm always on the lookout for sales because I use Cascade 220 superwash for donation projects (hats, scarfs, etc.) so recipients don't have to worry about special care issues.
