Knitting with this color has turned my hands blue each time I knit. Looking forward to finishing this project. It will be really pretty and worth the blue fingers. I'll make sure to do a vinegar rinse to get the rest of the extra color out before I give the project as a gift.

      Comments about true Tosh Sock:

I am working with a variegated color way. The skeins blend together well. The yarn is well-spun and sturdy. Although this super wash yarn is made for socks, I'm using it for a boxy sweater which I intend to wear a lot, and I am happy it will go through the wash easily. On a slightly larger needle (loose knitter, size 3.25 mm) it drapes well, has a nice hand, and will be a cozy, wearable pullover.

A reliable yarn that comes in a great many colors. Easy to wind into a cake, does not tangle. I mainly knit wraps/shawls and clothing. For me it is one of those go-to yarns that I consider when making a new project.

          Comments about true Tosh Sock:

This yarn knit up beautifully but when I washed and blocked it, one skein faded horribly and produced a large stripe as a result. I do not recommend this yarn at all for this reason. Supposedly the company is going to suggest a fix, but I'm not about to reknit the project at this point!

          Comments about true Tosh Sock:

I purchased the Arctic Blue to make a scarf and noticed after having wound the yarn and then knitting with it the color is coming off on my fingers. I have never had that happen with a yarn before and was told to use vinegar. I am at a point where I can't wash it because I have done 1/4 of the project and I don't want to lose what I have done and also it is wound into a ball. I guess it is something to be careful with in a dark color.

I bought the same yarn, same color about 1 year apart. I was just about 8 yards shy of finishing a project when I realized I needed another skein. When I received the second skein, the colors were noticeably different. Doesn't matter, it still looks good in my shawl, but for some projects, that may be a problem.

The madeline Tosh sock is a lovely yarn to use and the colours are wonderful, stitch definition is great, It is a joy to use.
However there is inconsistency with colour dyeing and colour often does not match the image provided.

This makes the most beautifully colored sweaters, remember to alternate balls to accommodate the hand-dyed yarn.
