Product Details
Malabrigo Sock has beautiful, luminous color adorning a fingering weight yarn so soft, you'll be tempted to use it for lace projects as well. The superwash Merino fiber has a slight sheen that will take your breath away, making this yarn perfect for any special gift..
Note: You will need approximately 400 yards for a basic pair of socks for an average women's size.
Malabrigo Sock is produced in dye lots of 5. Any order for more than 5 skeins will be of mixed dye lots. Some colors do not have any dye lots.
Hand-dyed yarns have subtle variations in colors that are natural and may vary from skein to skein. There may be differences between pictures shown and the yarn you receive. To ensure the best results for your project:
- Buy enough yarn for your entire project at one time.
- When using hand-dyed yarn in your project work two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect.
If you have any questions or concerns about hand-dyed yarn, please contact Customer Service.

I like the yarn and it stands up well because I’ve used it before, But this time with size 2 needles, I made a pair of socks and I found the weeds seemed very loose. If I use it again, I would definitely make them with size one needles.
Malabrigo is a very nice sock yarn. Easy to work with. Holds it’s shape well and great colors.
The yarn color is inconsistent in the skein.
I knit several pairs of socks with Malabrigo Sock, and also with Ultimate Sock. Every single one of them shrank, and I had to give them all away. So for socks, I see that I can't use it. However, the colors are so beautiful, I began using them to knit long skinny scarves that wrap the neck three times, and for that the Malabrigo Sock yarns are perfect.
This yarn is my all time favorite sock yarn. The colors are incredibly beautiful and knitting with it is a dream— so soft and had great stitch definition. I’ve been using this yarn for years and can say it wears beautifully over many years.
I have been knitting with Malabrigo yarns for several years, and ALL their yarns are wonderful to work with. I make socks for my adult son with their yarn and he loves how soft the resulting socks are.
Beautiful. Nice yarn, knits up well. I would buy again.
