I used Noro Kureyon to make a throw for a birthday gift for my sister. The colors are vibrant and help create a patchwork effect. I love the way knitting with Noro surprises you...you can't really know what it will look like until it's finished and no two items will ever look the same.

I bought this yarn to make the Seraphina shawl. In the end, I bought 9 skeins in two batches, and though the shawl was still smaller than I wanted, I refuse to buy any more. I gave it to a small person. The yarn felt harsh in my hands and was full of bits of grass or hay or something. I had not realized that it was a variable thickness yarn, it varied from a very tight twist about sport yarn size to basically untwisted roving. I didn't care for that but could live with it. But I grew to hate it more with every skein - why? Every skein had at least one knot where a new strand had been tied on, and there was never any attention to the color sequence. After 9 skeins, I STILL don't know what the sequence should be. The result was a lot of puddling, and an overall muddy look to the shawl. One would think in a yarn made popular for the color striping that they would at least try for quality in that feature. I was VERY disappointed, and will not buy Noro yarns again.

I am making a blanket with this yarn and I love the colors and it is easy to use. I am knitting in short rows and this yarn doesn't snag or split. It does have a mix of double strands and single roving but it all knits up well. Couldn't be happier.

I make felted hats and the hats I make using this yarn is a HUGE hit!! My goal is to create hats using all the colors in this yarn! Gorgeous and works up easy. Felts like a dream. It is softer than most wools, but for the hats I make its a added plus. One customer who purchased one of my hats wrote me and said her hat feels like a hug on her head.

        Comments about true Kureyon:

Since the color changes are so long, I used 2 different colorways every 2 rows on the scarf. However, I have never experienced such twisting and changes in yarn. It ended up a much more casual-looking scarf rather than the structured sequence look I was expecting. It IS a beautiful scarf at any rate.

        Comments about true Kureyon:

I have used the Noro yarn on may of my projects.
I love the color ways. When knitted it looks so
beautiful and there is no need to add another yarn.
Just a simple stitch will do the job. However, on the Kuryon that I bought I was a bit disappointed.
Some of the skeins had one too many joints. That is ok by me but, the problem was that color joining was NOT in sequins and when you are making
a project you like to keep the color in a sequins so I had to cut the yarn and start from a fresh skein to continue. Also I notice too many color
        joints in one skein?
