Shopping for yarns in the comfort of my home is easy. I'm using it for making an afghan for a friend. She really liked the shade for the color. I have not started yet to create my project. Once the weather cools down more, I plan on getting started.

Surprisingly great acrylic yarn
Generally, I hate acrylic yarn. It feels sticky and isn’t nice to knit with. But my sister, for whom I’m making a sweater, needs something she can launder easily, so acrylic seemed best. I tried this yarn and was so surprised. It knits like a dream, so smooth. The fabric texture is very nice. I was expecting craft store yarn from anything acrylic, but this Paintbox yarn is anything but. It was on sale at Webs, so I even got more in another color to make a sweater for myself. As for drape, it's...

The yarn is a beautiful color. It is soft and works beautifully with no pilling on the finished work.

Yarn was heavier than other brands of dk yarn. Also tends to pill or fuzz easily
Good and fast service and on sale.
I love the smooth texture and ease of working with it. I'm making shawls for my 5 girls in our family, using three colors and many different patterns on the shawls. I've finished one and started another. It's really nice, big, and soft. I bought enough for a cardigan for myself too. Also, it was on sale. Thanks for fast service.

I make winter hats for charity and this works of nice.
Soft and affordable yarn
I have used this yarn before for a knitted sweater and loved it. I like the affordability and the softness of the yarn.
PAINTBOX DK YARN
This was an order for a relative who wanted a knit pullover. She picked this color and this weight of yarn. I can say it is very soft and you get a lot of mileage with the yarn. I got 13 inches out of one skein which made a large part of the back of the pullover. It is very slow going as I'm knitting 134 stitches on a size 6 just for the back, but I am pleased with the yarn. I think she too will be pleased with the pullover when I get it done.

A good acrylic yarn. It works well on size 7 needle (I am a loose knitter). Can be used single or double. I used it with a fine weight cotton yarn for a shrug---two strands of yarn throughout--- size 10.5 mm needles. I love using man made fiber such as acrylic with natural fibers, especially cottons. Cotton "behaves" better in laundry if acrylic is added to yarn fiber.
