Shopping for yarns in the comfort of my home is easy. I'm using it for making an afghan for a friend. She really liked the shade for the color. I have not started yet to create my project. Once the weather cools down more, I plan on getting started.
Surprisingly great acrylic yarn
Generally, I hate acrylic yarn. It feels sticky and isn’t nice to knit with. But my sister, for whom I’m making a sweater, needs something she can launder easily, so acrylic seemed best. I tried this yarn and was so surprised. It knits like a dream, so smooth. The fabric texture is very nice. I was expecting craft store yarn from anything acrylic, but this Paintbox yarn is anything but. It was on sale at Webs, so I even got more in another color to make a sweater for myself. I was looking for a lightweight DK yarn, and Paintbox is perfect. It is easy to work with, and the color variety is lovely. I'm using it for Yarn It Up, Sweater Rose bud-adult.
I'm using it for crocheted and knit animals and crocheted lace. It works very well.

If the yarn were better wound in the skein, I'd give it a 5. As I was working within one skein it was in several separate sections, it was frustrating to keep piecing it together.
Perfect yarn for special projects
I have always loved Paintbox yarns and use them all the time, although I tend to lean towards their cotton products more than their acrylic. I was lining up the work on a special Halloween throw, one for my niece who lives in Nebraska and one for my daughter who lives in Kansas, and my niece prefers acrylic. Both girls love their throws, so win, win. Sorry I didn't take pics before mailing.

Yarn was heavier than other brands of dk yarn. Also tends to pill or fuzz easily
