Schacht Flip Rigid Heddle Looms
The Full Feature Rigid Heddle Loom
Flip, our new folding rigid heddle loom, is comfortable, compact, sturdy, and a pleasure to weave on. Designed for high performance, this loom folds in a jiffy for storage or transport.
Weave in comfort. Choose three different weaving modes: use the rear leg for hooking to a table edge, clamp it to a table for stand-up weaving, or install it on our convenient trestle stand.
Warp in a flash. Included with Flip are clamps and a warping peg for direct-loom warping. We include instructions for both direct and pre-measuring methods.
Our top cross brace allows long warps, up to 5-6 yards (depending on yarn weight and winding paper), to be wound on the beams without impacting the size of the shed.
Fine-toothed nylon ratchets provide precise tension control. The conveniently located heddle blocks on the sides of the loom hold the rigid heddle in the up, down, or neutral position. The heddle, is made of durable ABS plastic, with large eyes and slots.
Flip is ideal for plain weaves and pick-up patterns. Our exclusively-designed two heddle capabilities make sense of 2-heddle weaving for the first time.
Flip is available in 15”, 20”, 25” and 30" weaving widths, and includes a 10-dent reed (8- or 12- dent available upon request), warping peg, 2 shuttles, threading hook, and complete warping and weaving instructions.

Comments about Warp in a flash. Included with Flip are clamps and a warping peg for direct-loom warping. We include instructions for both direct and pre-measuring me Flip Rigid Heddle Looms:
This is a great loom. Even though I knew the dimensions and had checked it out, it was still bigger than expected, though. I ended up getting the floor stand to help with managing it. I use it to make scarves, placemats, towels, and other small items. It can be used to make long panels that are then machine/hand stitched together for something wider. I like that it can be secured to a surface or tilted up against a table for use on your lap, but you kind of need a good spot to do that and a table you don't mine potentially scuffing.
