Good quality, sturdy, and color fast. I've put mine through a very hot wash with no problems.
Great weight for weaving. Warped nicely.
This cotton is consistent and great for weaving.
arrived on time and as ordered
I love how promptly the yarn orders arrive. This is a great place to order Valley yarns from.
It is a strong yarn. Black can sometimes end up weak, however, this was strong throughout.
Really nice but so expensive.
I purchased several colors of 5/2 so I have the same review for all of them. I am currently weaving a variety of drafts in one continuous length using one of the 5/2 as my warp. I've been experimenting with some sections of 5/2 weft in a variety of colors and some sections of 3/2 weft. The 5/2 thread is slightly sticky (from fibers catching each other, not residue) so I do find that I frequently need to clear my shed by beating an extra time after switching to my next pass. This is not a major concern for me but others could find it slows them down if they are used to working fast. I have found a few slubs in the warp where it appears that a join was created to continue the thread. For my projects, this will not be very noticeable but might matter to others depending on their projects. I really like the large selection of colors available.
