Valley Yarns Valley Cotton 10/2 is a great staple for your weaving projects. The Valley Yarns line of mercerized perle cottons in 3/2, 5/2, and 10/2 is put up on standard one pound cones for weavers and machine knitters. The Valley Cotton line features 50+ sumptuous colors dyed for color fastness, but of course, be sure to test your sample the way you want to finish your fabric. Spun and dyed exclusively for WEBS. Sett: 24-30 epi.
Note: We recommend laying flat to dry for items with fringe.

This yarn is sold in whole cones (or tubes). Wind-offs are not available for this yarn.

I frequently use Valley 10/2 for the ground when I am weaving bands. It pairs perfectly when using 8/2 for the pattern floats. The sheen of the mercerized cotton sets off the pattern well. This photo shows one of my favourite patterns in "Christmas colours."
The yarn is great quality. Very rarely I break a warp thread. The yarn is consistent throughout the cone. Purchase is simple. Shipping cost is fair. The time between order and delivery is reasonable. No complaints.

Bad experience. Started off with UPS but they passed it off to the post office. TWO weeks later they passed it back to UPS and I eventually received it. Not a great quality.
I'm using it for an overshot baby blanket. The 10/2 cotton is for the warp. It works really well.
I'm using it for a scarf. I order all of my weaving yarns from Yarn.com. When I built my fiber studio, I began adding yarns by size and color until I have the full range of colors and several sizes of threads. At the time of ordering, I added the 10/2 cone because my current cone was low and it had not been available for awhile. So when it was available, I added it to my order when ordering other cones of different sizes.

I’ve been weaving for over 25 years. The Valley 10/2 cotton has always been a staple on my shelves. I’ve never had a problem with it. The last color I ordered was black to help supplement other colors I wanted to use up. Thanks WEBS!
10/2 is much smaller than 8/2 which was surprising to me, but it's a great yarn to work with! I am making tea towels with it. They are taking much longer than the 8/2 cotton towels I made and look much more delicate, but I am happy with them!
